- Easier for beginners, can see what you are drawing on the tablet
- These are more generally more expensive althought prices are coming down. They begin at around $350 CAD
Non-display Tablet
- AKA Drawing tablet, graphics tablet
- can call both these, but it’s easier to search for Display Graphics or Drawing tablet
- These need to hook up to a computer screen with a USB cable
- Can connect to android devices as well, but the app may or may not show the cursor making drawing more difficult.
- Learning, on a screen, where your drawing does have a learning curve
- Drawing might be more difficult depending on screen size
- These are cheaper that display tablets
- Prices start as low as $50 CAD
- Caveat: You get what you pay for
- It’s recommended to try these before committing to a more permanent solution
- Spending the money for a quality drawing tablet somewhat does ensure it will last longer. More updates, software support, better quality hardware.
